On Thursday the 22nd of June we had our monthly meeting with the company. A lot of items were discussed and the VNC raised a few issues on behalf of our members.
Inflight retail: AMS stock levels
In the last few weeks we have received concerns from a few our members in regard to stock levels in the bars. This has been raised during the monthly meeting. The company does agree that there are a few items which are top sellers (Coke Zero, tea and muffins) are low in stock and they are actively trying to get this sorted. Please keep logging your missed sales and fill out the catering feedback form on the company iPad. The feedback that we have received from easyJet is that this is not done as often and adequately, resulting in missing data. In addition to this the company has provided us with data on your commission. They have compared commission data from FY19 and FY23, which shows an increase in commission.
We do encourage our members to keep sharing your experiences with inflight retail during your duties so that we can address these with company during our monthly meetings.
Transfer list
On the 16th of June the transfer list opened for all crew eligible to transfer. To manage expectations the company has provided a list with all bases and ranks with information on how likely it is that a transfer becomes available for your base of choice. As the Italian bases are always high in demand for transfers it will not be possible to request a transfer to an Italian base. The waiting time for transfers to Italian bases is currently 7 years on average according to the company.
The application window for transfer requests closes on Monday 3 July at 10.00L.
Pension update
Last couple of months we have been involved in the process of selecting a new pension provider for the cabin crew with easyJet and pension advisor Aon. Our current pension contract with LifeSight expires on the 30th of June 2023. We are pleased to announce that we have selected Befrank as our pension provider for our pension scheme from the first of July 2023. You will receive more detailed information and login details via your company email by Befrank and easyJet.
Gloves
At the beginning of June we received complaints from members in regard to not having a sufficient amount of gloves onboard to safely perform their duties. This has been addressed by the VNC and base management has stated that this was the result of an order of gloves being held at customs, which they were not aware of. This has since then been picked up by the base team and procedures are now in place to ensure that all AMS based aircraft are supplied with enough gloves. Thank you for reporting the lack gloves to base management and for filling CSR’s.
Our next monthly meeting is scheduled for Thursday 20 July. If you have any questions or remarks do no hesitate to reach out to us via the usual channels.
